In today’s crowded marketplace, with many different companies competing to deliver advances in the field of healthcare, I am often asked what makes Otsuka special, and different from the other companies.

First and foremost, Otsuka does not want to follow in the footsteps of other pharmaceutical companies. Our goal is to develop unique, innovative, first-in-class products, focusing on unmet medical needs and the needs of our customers. This is where we have the advantage – without a cumbersome infrastructure and empowered by our financial success in Japan and the US, we have been able to build a responsive network of talented people to address these needs.
